Hi, i made a site in joomla that has a login pop-up module that is using mootools and some other modules using jquery, i also have virtuemart and K2.
Can the JFBConnect button be placed on the pop-up module ? is it easy to do? ( i didn't find documentation on your website)
Also, what happens with a new user that got connected and is going to buy something using VM? will he be connected to VM and K2 users? if yes, then after checkout will he be prompted to fill his billing information?
Thank you for you help

Users created through JFBConnect are just like normal Joomla users. VirtueMart will see them no differently than if they had registered through the standard Joomla Registration form.

As for working in a pop-up, yes, JFBConnect works in it, but it will take a few extra lines of code. In the 3.2 release, we added the ability to work in Javascript pop-ups because that request was made a few times, but we haven't thoroughly documented. Basically, you just need to create a normal link (or image or whatever) and have it call the Javascript function jfbc.login.login_custom(); when clicked. That will tell JFBConnect to start the login/registration process through Facebook, and can be used in pop-ups and other spots where our normal login button doesn't work.

Should you need any help implementing the above, we can definitely help.

So if a user login with JFConnect it will pull his first name and last name, email and avatar right? but will it also show these fields on "maintenance link" for VM profile?
will it put the customer in a "shopper" group on VM?
Jfacebook has a VM module...what is it and is this something required for me to integrate VM? are you guy working on something similar?

JFBConnect will not put a user in a shopping group automatically, but I think you can set VM to automatically put users who register through Joomla into a default shopper group. We're honestly just starting an investigation into integration with VM, so I don't have all the answers for you. We've used VM on multiple client sites, but just haven't done additional integration with JFBConnect yet.

I'm not sure what JFacebook's module does, in all honesty, you'd have to ask them. I know that they don't have field-mapping import capabilities in JFacebook, like we do in JFBConnect for other extensions (JomSocial, CB, etc). That's something we'll be adding when we come out with our VM Profile Plugin (likely in mid/late May).

As always, we have a 30-day money back guarantee. If you decide to buy JFBConnect, and can't get it to work how you want, no worries.

Hope this all helps, and good luck!

hahah...i am not sure either... even after i have been answered like 3 times i still couldn't understand what the hell he was talking about. it will be good to know tho as he is your competitor :)
just one thing before i buy this that a little bothers me, i have noticed that when i logged in to this forum via facebook i didn't receive an email saying i was registered and also every time i come back i need to hit the facebook login again...it doesn't remember my login? a new user to this can be confused if he didn't get an email confirming he is registered...does he have a joomla user and password? is it the same as facebook user and password?

Yeah, in all honesty, your the 2nd user to mention their extension, and the other time was simply for the VM integration.. which didn't seem clear at that time too. We know about all the extensions that are frequently mentioned, that just isn't high on our radar yet.

As for this site, you actually should have received a "You just created an account on sourcecoast" email. I can check and see what not. As for the way we have this site setup, we're using the automatic registration mode of JFBConnect so that your Joomla account is created for you automatically. Right now, you don't have a Joomla password for your fb_101322065 username. If you hit "Forgot Password" though, you can create one. In this mode, the primary way to log in is through Facebook... which we also have an option to automatically login Facebook users (if they're logged into FB in another tab), but that's disabled right now because when users log out here, we don't want to log them out of Facebook (there's an option for that too!)

The other user creation option we have is to let the user select their own username and password, which then, on return, they can login through Facebook or through Joomla. It's all configurable through JFBConnect and all very easy.

Hope this answers your questions, but if not, you know where to find us!

Hi again, i got the component and add the {JFBCLogin} in my pop-up module but the botton is not responding, when i place it outside the "form" area it is working,
the login pop up module is using mootools.
Also, is there a way to use my own button image?

I will appreciate if you respond fast to this as i want to make it work ASAP....thanks :)
