Recommendations

The Facebook Recommendations plugin gives users personalized suggestions for pages on your Joomla site that they might like. This is determined through looking at what their friends have liked, or commented on, on your site. If the current user isn't logged into Facebook, a general list of recommendations will be presented.

How to Add a Facebook Recommendations to Joomla

JFBConnect gives you 2 easy methods to add Facebook recommendations to your Joomla site: either through the JFBCRecommendations module or the JFBCRecommendations easy-tag, as described below.

JFBCRecommendations Module

The JFBCRecommendations module, included with JFBCConnect, is an easy way to use the Joomla administrator interface to add the Facebook recommendation widget to your whole site, or any section or page within your site. Since it's a standard Joomla module, all the available parameters for the Facebook recommendation are easily accessible, such as showing the header with your site information, border color, font style, width, height, and color scheme of the recommendations box.

As with any Joomla module, you can set the JFBCRecommendations module to show in any template position, on any specific (or all) menu items of your site, and whether guest, registered, or special users can view it.

JFBCRecommendations Easy-Tag

With the JFBConnect easy-tags, it's very easy to add Facebook recommendations to any Joomla article, custom HTML module, template or other area of your site. This is great for when a module just won't work, or you want even more customization for the recommendations widget. To use the easy-tag, simply include any of the following snippets into your site's content, and JFBConnect will take care of the rest:
