Facebook Open Graph in Joomla

The Facebook Open Graph tags are a way to describe your page to Facebook. Default Site-Wide Open Graph Easy-Tags

JFBConnect easily lets you set the default Open Graph tags across your Joomla site. This simplifies Open Graph setup by letting you immediately specify the image, title, and description that should be used for all your pages.

Per-Page Overrides

On individual pages where you want to specify a unique title, description, image or other information about your page, you can use the simple JFBConnect Open Graph tags to override the defaults. Simply use the following format in an Joomla article, custom HTML module, template file, or anywhere else on the page, and JFBConnect will do the rest:

Automatic Open Graph Tags

If you've already created great title and description meta tags, JFBConnect will automatically use those if the overrides above aren't set.

Additionally, for Joomla and K2 articles, there's an easy option to have JFBConnect set the first image in the article as the Open Graph image for that page. This helps to automate the tagging process even further, and makes your articles stand out even more in a user's wall.
