Hello !

First, sorry, I'm in the wrong forum ...

I have a site under Joomla! 3.10.3 and your module works perfectly (great module, bravo!). (aurigines.com)

I made a V2 of the site to test the update to Joomla 4.0.4.(v2.aurigines.com)

Your module is not working properly.
The text written above the fields does not appear anymoreThe word "show password" does not work anymore.

Also, the choice "horizontal" or "vertical" in the module presentation does not work, the display remains the same regardless of the choice.

Thank you for your help.
Regards

Patrick

Patrick,
We're working on an updated version of the SCLogin module that should fix a few compatibility issues between Joomla 4 and certain template configurations. That should be out around the middle of this week.

Since you're using a test site and this isn't live yet (I believe), I'd suggest waiting a few days for that release to see if the problems are resolved. If not, we'll gladly help investigate further as we'd like to squash any issues we can so they don't affect other users.

Thanks,
Alex

Is your site still local only or is there a URL that we could look at? It'd be much easier to diagnose if we could see the behavior in person.

If not,

For the eye:
1. Are there any errors in your browser's developer tools console when you click on the eyeball for show password? Are there any errors on the console in general or specifically regarding jquery?
2. In the SCLogin module > Advanced parameters section, what do you have the load jQuery option set to? Can you try toggling it to the other setting and see if there is change in behavior for the eyeball?

For the text above the inputs:
1. How are you adding that? Can you make sure that it's still set the same after the upgrade?
2. The first thing I would do would be to use developer tools to see if the element holding the text is still on the page. If it is, then it's likely to be a style that is overriding it being shown. If not, then we'd need to know #1 on how it's set up.

Let us know and we'll go from there to figure out the issues.

Hi Melissa

Thank you for your reply.
The site is online and you can see it at
v2.aurigines.com

If needed, I can send you admin credentials.

All right, looking at the source on your page, SCLogin thinks your page is running Joomla version 4, which is then causing the broken behavior for the password toggle.

We're a little perplexed as why a simple call on what Joomla version is being used is returning J4 instead of J3...

Could you send admin credentials? If possible also FTP. You can use the Contact Us

Patrick,

Thank you for the credentials. Sorry for my reading fail and not realizing the v2 site was Joomla 4.

I've put fixes for both issues on your site.
1. The password toggle requires behavior for the input-password-toggle javascript to be included. The way that I was testing on my local site included the toggle javascript, when it wasn't guaranteed to be there for all SCLogin modules. Simple line of code and is fixed now on your v2 site.

2. The intro text not showing up was caused by having two modules of SCLogin on the page that were both modal. In the past, we've had a known bug that only one modal of SCLogin can be present. I've fixed the bug, but I need to test this one more thoroughly before I put out a release of SCLogin. Either way, the changes are there on your v2 site now.

The fixes for both issues will be included in the next release, pending more testing on the modal to see if further changes are needed.

Please let us know if you see any other strange behavior, but you should be good to go for these two bugs hopefully.

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for your intervention.

Concerning the fact that there are 2 SCLogin modules, it is related to the fact that the module for the computer view does not occupy the same position on the phone view.
If it can help you, on the site in production which is under J 3.10 (aurigines.com), the text appears on the 2 modules, phone and computer without any problem.

Thank you again for the quality of your support!
