I'm just wondering about Twitter and Easysocial when using JFBConnect. With using the Facebook link to login or register, I'm able to basically do it in one click, with the import of the facebook info, profile pic, cover page, etc. When trying with Twitter I'm redirected to a page with:

"Thanks for signing in using Twitter. Do you already have an account on this site, or would you like to create one?"

The Login Form and User Registration Form follow the message. I get the same outcome when trying to do the same on Sourcecoast's website. Is that the normal process, or is it possible to have the one-click process similar to facebook that can be applied to Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

Justin,
No, it's not possible. Twitter and VK (I think that's it) do not have any way to fetch the user's email address from those services. Because of that, JFBConnect can't automatically create the user, and is why they have to go through some sort of registration process.

If you want the smallest registration process, you can use the JFBConnect registration flow and basically disable all registration fields so all that's asked for is the user's email address. All other information can be imported automatically. Of course, you could show more information to request of the user since they already have to go through the flow.

Finally, if you haven't tried the setting, there's also the "Registration Component" setting in JFBConnect's configuration. With that, you can have the user go through the EasySocial registration flow, in case you like that better.

I hope that helps explain, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the information Alex,

I think the "Registration Component" option would work best in this case.

I'm glad it sounds like that option will work for you. Of course, if you run into any issues or have any general feedback on how we can improve things, please let us know. We're always trying to make JFBConnect better, and listening to our users is the best way to do that.

Thanks,
Alex
