The PinIt button requires that an image be selected to be 'Pinned' when shared. That's a requirement of Pinterest itself, since it's a very picture oriented site. Therefore, JFBConnect will only display the Pinterest button when it is able to detect a page specific article to use for the button.
To fix, please make sure:
* You have the Open Graph - Content plugin enabled. This is the best way to to automatically detect an image in your content
* You have an image in your article's content or a "Main Image" set for the article
