Google+ does not have a 'write' API, which means there is no way to post content to Google+ using a 3rd party site. There are ways to fetch a feed, which will work with our new Social Stream feature. That is planned for later this year.

I hope that answers your questions, but if there was a specific feature you were looking for with Social Channels and Google+, please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
as far as I understand here with Social Stream feature we can import feeds from socials to our sites, not export feeds from sites to social pages. Am I right ?

Why not use Google+ moments feature to post on Google+ Social with the Social Channel feature ?
I think that as activity type would be good the CreateAction ... What do you think about ?

Something that obSocialSubmit and Auto Tweet NG , as far as I understand, are yet doing...

Sorry for the delay. It took some investigation to understand the Moments feature and how best we could implement it.

From what I can see (and correct me if I'm wrong), the moments are for posting 'actions' that a user has taken on your site back to their profile. It's very, very much like the Open Graph Actions support we already have for Facebook. With Open Graph Actions, if a user comments on an article or leaves a review, that action is posted to their Facebook Timeline: "John left a review at yoursite.com".

The Channels feature of JFBConnect is more for administrators to promote content on their site to the social feeds they own, like a Facebook Page or Twitter stream. It could be possible to post a 'moment' as the admin, like "I created a new article", but it's really not what Google seems to want that feature used for.

I have added it to our investigation list to see if we can add 'Moments' as a new type of action to be triggered by your users (not as much your admins) along with our Open Graph plugins. If you disagree or have any other comments, please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
you are right, but consider:

1 - Social Channels feature is the most important and wanted from site admins, so I think a solution have to be found to keep simple site admins work.
2 - I believe that Google+ moments feature can be used as Social Channel feature.
As you can see in activity type > CreateAction there is wrote: "Use this type when your user creates a creative work such as a photo, blog entry, or microblog post."

So, I think that (till there will no updates/news from Google), the moments feature > CreateAction (or the generic AddAction) can be used like a Social Channel to give admins (also an admin or authors are users) a way to add text and post at the same time on all channels (Socials).
Something like a manual "Open Graph" that work in a Social Channel. Where I can post when I click on "Create Post" and add text manually. Not too complex.

Another thing is what you say about Open Graph:
"It's very, very much like the Open Graph Actions support we already have for Facebook. With Open Graph Actions, if a user comments on an article or leaves a review, that action is posted to their Facebook Timeline: "John left a review at yoursite.com"."
where all happen "automatically".

So finally, in my opinion the difference is not who is the author: admins/users etc., but how is posted: automatically (setting all like Open Graph)/manually using the moment feature in a Social Channel (so I can add a post when I want simply clicking on a button on my site).
Anyway also a simple +snippet sharing method would be good to be used as Google+ Social Channel... Are you agree?!?

This is something that other autopublisher like obSocialSubmit and Auto Tweet NG , as far as I understand, are yet doing...

Thanks for the great description and feedback. We've added Moments to our to-do list for a release later this year. I'm not sure if it will be in v6.2 or v6.3, but it should be in one of those. We agree it'd be great to have a Channel method to share back to Google as it's a huge social network and great for publicity.

Anyway also a simple +snippet sharing method would be good to be used as Google+ Social Channel... Are you agree?!?

JFBConnect fully supports Open Graph tags, which Google+ uses as well. There is no difference in content that is shared with +snippets and Open Graph tags, and they will appear the same in a Google stream. We also created the Social Debug tool for diagnosing and testing your social meta tags.

This is something that other autopublisher like obSocialSubmit and Auto Tweet NG, as far as I understand, are yet doing...

True. Right now, we don't have all the features of other auto-publish extensions. However, those extensions are completely for pushing content. JFBConnect does many, many more things for social network integration. We hope to add all the features of those other tools, but it will take time to get there as it's not the only focus we have.

Thanks again,
Alex

Hi Alex,
in first of all I hope you don't missunderstand me and sorry for my English.
What I mean speaking also about your social competitors is just that, maybe, "they found a solution", nothing more.
Then writing you:

Anyway also a simple +snippet sharing method would be good to be used as Google+ Social Channel... Are you agree?!?

I just want say that my customer found too useful the Social Channels feature, have a way to write one time in front end and publish at the same time on all the social (through Channels) is been too appreciate! (And it is something, now I'm sending offers, that people are asking me)
So, would be really too useful have a way to post also on Google+ using Channels. I mean, is not important how is the post, what is important is to be able to set also the Google+ channel, that I suppose is not too complex as add all Google+ Moments (like the Facebook Open Graph).

Hope you can understand my words, I did not want to offend your work, but be propositive.

After that,
1 - many thanks for have added Google+ Moments on the to do list. Personally, in perspective, I believe more on Google+ features than Facebook.
2 - Would be possible have a way to add a Google+ Channel soon ? (Also if not complete/rudimentary/without image preview for ex.)

I understand. Your English is excellent. I just wanted to make sure I responded properly to let you know that a) we plan to add lots of new features to our posting abilities in the future but that b) it may take some time to equal all of the features of extensions dedicated to that purpose.

I just want say that my customer found too useful the Social Channels feature, have a way to write one time in front end and publish at the same time on all the social (through Channels) is been too appreciate!

Great! I'm glad to hear it's going so well for you. We've been excited about the feature and have had a great response from a lot of users.

No offense taken at all. We just like to explain why things how they are. We also really appreciate the feedback as it helps guide our future development plans.

We haven't done the full investigation for it yet. The plan is to include it in the 6.2 release, late this summer, if the development isn't overly complex.

Thanks again,
Alex

Hi Alex,
many thanks for all. I'll stay tuned!

I want post just this small info:
waiting a way for Google+ Social Channels right I have to go directly on Google+ page and write a post (instead to click on a share button in article view), because seem that, right now, Google+ (when you are logged) doesn't ask if you want post as "UserProfile" or "PageProfile" (as Facebook do)...
