Topic-icon many users receive "new member registration" email

Hi,
I do not know why this is happening. It seems that many of our users receive an email everytime there is a new user registered with Facebook on our site.
Any clue of why this is happening?

JFBConnect sends new emails to new user that has registered. We also send a copy to the admins on the site if the Joomla User Manager option for 'Notification Mail to Administrators' is enabled. Can you check the setting in the user manager? For the users in question, could you 1) their user group and 2) open their user in the backend edit and see if they're set up to receive system emails?

Thanks for the fast reply.
We have only 3 administrators in the web. It is ok for the 3 of us to receive this email, however the users in questions are just normal users that they registered using facebook. I checked their user groups but only appears as registered.
However some of them receive the notification of a new user have registered as if they were administrators...

Could you check the 'Receive System Emails' setting for the affected users? Is it enabled?

I do not know which other users are affected. the ones i knew, yes I unchecked their receive system emails option.
What I did was to go to users options and put NO to Notification Mail to Administrators. Which is not the best solution because it will also not send the emails to me.

I have a fix that is going into the next release to remedy this. It will check that the user has the correct permissions (and not just the setting) before receiving the notification email. I can send you the code change in a private message if you'd like it before the release comes out. If you're interested, please let me know.
