Whats the policy of facebook for this? is it ok to remove or not have it displayed? Thanks!

Could you clarify what you mean by this? If possible, could you attach a screenshot of the dialog you're referring to.

Hi Melissa,

It's the pop up that shows when an open graph action has been triggered automatically, by default its in the lower left. It states simple that and action was poste in your timeline.

Is this required by facebook or I can just hide it? Thanks!

It depends on the action being performed. If the user performs the action manually, like through a button click, then you are allowed to not show that popup. However, if the action is automatic, for instance the news.reads action, then Facebook requires you to show a message to the user that an action has been performed and a way for the user to be able to remove that action.
