Hello guys

I have this issue with open graph, I use sh404 SEF to handle the open graph on my site, but on the front page I have more than one OG, one comes from sh404 and the second from JFBC, I do not want to use or show the JFBC open graph, I have those settings on blank, I donĀ“t put anything on the box, however I see the OG from JFBC.

So basically the question is how do I disable the open graph from JFBC??

Thanks

Never mind, I found this post: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...le-open-graph#p37661 and applied that solution and problem solved

Would be great in having the option to disable it on the settings again.

Thanks

We're evaluating a few options in the future to enable/disable social tags. With the next release, we're planning to add Twitter Card support as well. At that point, we may add an on/off option for Open Graph and Twitter tags as well.

The reason we removed the option to disable the Open Graph tags is because that system is tied very tightly into the Open Graph Actions system, which needs our Open Graph tags set. Disabling the tags in general would disable a large social sharing feature. So, it's still up for debate as to what we'll have as options in the next release, but we are considering it.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the reply Alex, good to know about future releases and new features, about open graph tags, will be great if you give us the option to choose on what pages to enable it or not, so people can decide what to do, because I'm more familiar using the open graph that comes with sh404SEF, which gives me the option to enable it on the pages that I really need, categories, content news, components, etc, so I want to stay using their system for the social tags which I think is easier to work with .......

I understand not wanting to switch to a new system. As for our integration, you should basically just need to enable our Open Graph plugins for your extensions. That will take care of the title, description and image automatically. Then, you can override those settings on a per-page basis with our Easy Tags.

Either way, we'll keep it in mind that you've asked for the option to enable/disable. It's not something that's asked often at all though, and we don't like putting extra options that aren't widely used into JFBConnect.. just so you know. We'll definitely consider it though as we add more social meta tag options.

Thanks,
Alex
