Hi,

i am new with JFBConnect. I have installed it and the SCLogin. Joomla 2.5 and the newest jomsocial.

Now i have a few problems with that.

1. SCLogin - i see your login and like that. But when i use it, it looks not so. First i see a login button and when i click i see the two buttons LOGIN and REGISTER. How can i make it like your site? And i have a problem with the function. In any sites it work with popup, but in a few sites it doesnt work. Javascript is enabled.

2. Whats with the old users of my site? I have an account on my site. I registered with an E-Mail Adress and then make JomSocial connect with Facebook, but with 2 other EMail Adresses. And it works, but now when i will connect with Facebook it doesnt work, but i became a new account. What can i do?

3. When i use Facebook connect then i dont see anything. In Jomsocial was an popup with Profilpicture import, but now i login with no function. And when i register nothing is shown but i was registered and and logged in with my new account.

THX for help!

There is an option for "Show Register Button" which you can choose to hide it in the modal popup. Change it to "Show in 'modal links' only" for it *not* to show in the actual modal popup.

And i have a problem with the function. In any sites it work with popup, but in a few sites it doesnt work. Javascript is enabled.

The "Include JQuery" setting in the SCLogin module doesn't do anything if JFBConnect is installed. Please enable the "Include JQuery" setting in JFBConnect and test again. That will include all the required Javascript for JQuery and Bootstrap that both JFBConnect and SCLogin need.

2. Whats with the old users of my site? I have an account on my site. I registered with an E-Mail Adress and then make JomSocial connect with Facebook, but with 2 other EMail Adresses. And it works, but now when i will connect with Facebook it doesnt work, but i became a new account. What can i do?

Enable the "Automatically link users by email address" setting in JFBConnect. When enabled, if a user clicks a social login button and that user's email address is already used by a Joomla user, they will automatically be 'connected'.

Other ways a user can connect their existing accounts to a social account are:
* Enable the "Show connect account buttons" in the SCLogin module. When logged in, a user will see links to all of the social accounts they haven't connected with yet.
* Set the Registration Component of JFBConnect to "JFBConnect" and *disable* Automatic Registration". Then, a user will be brought to a registration page where they can either register a new account or login with an existing one.

3. When i use Facebook connect then i dont see anything. In Jomsocial was an popup with Profilpicture import, but now i login with no function. And when i register nothing is shown but i was registered and and logged in with my new account.

If you have automatic registration in JFBConnect enabled, that's normal. The process happens automatically without any user input. It's a faster process, but the user has less control over what's imported. The avatar and profile information you configure in the "Profiles" area of JFBConnect should still be imported.

I hope that helps answer your question,
Alex

Awesome! Glad to hear we could help get you going. Should you need anything else, or have any suggestions or feedback, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
