Just upgraded a site from j1.5 to j2.5.7. The sclogin module shows only keywords(?) such as MOD_SCLOGIN_USERNAME, MOD_SCLOGIN_PASSWORD, etc. The login button (I think it is) shows only a missing image outline. When a fb user logins in, there is a COM_ message about being logged in and MOD_SCLOGIN_WELCOME and such. Point being, the sclogin module appears to not showing correctly. What can I look at or do to correct this?

(edit) Also, upon first fb login, two emails go out, one to admin, one to the user. The admin email looks okay, but the user email contains only COM_JFBCONNECT_EMAIL_REGISTERED_BODY as the text.

That means your language files aren't installed or properly there. I would recommend simply re-installing JFBConnect, which should refresh and update any missing files. You don't need to uninstall anything first.

If that doesn't help, let us know what language you're using on your site. JFBConnect and Joomla should 'fall back' to the en_GB version of language files, which we provide. However, if you're site is using some other language, that may be a problem if your site or some 3rd party language extension can't find the proper file. Let us know anything you can about your language configuration.

Thanks,
Alex

Okay, thanks, reinstalling did the trick. I was getting some rights errors on some of the files, so I had to open the kimono, as they say, to do the install and get all the files copied. Don't know why the, um, rights are wrong, if it's a joomla thing, or a sourcecoast thing, or a cPanel thing, or an ISP thing. Anyway, all looks good now.

Not sure either. I doubt it was JFBConnect permissions since we don't have in any way change permission settings during our installation and the install goes smoothly for the overwhelming majority of users.

Either way, glad you got it going, and should you run into other issues, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
