Is this during an initial registration, or when trying to log in?
Can you check in the User Manager if you're account is blocked? If so, do you have activation enabled in Joomla, and if so, check your JFBConnect setting for Skip Activation. Also, let me know if you're using Community Builder integration, as that may help determine the cause.

I just tried to log in on your page (www.isardegna.com/, correct?) and did run into some login issues. When looking at the page code, I can't tell, but it's possible the AddThis widget is causing some conflicts. Can you try, temporarily, disabling this extension and see if that fixes the problem? If so, that will help us narrow down the issue.

Finally, is there anything that recently changed on your site that happened around when the logging in broke?

Thanks,
Alex

I'm having a similar issue. After the Facebook login I just see a white screen with a small Facebook logo in it. The Facebook login works but it doesn't log me into the web site. If I use the Joomla login I see the re-connect button but it just displays the same thing in the FB login screen.

This just started happening last night. No new extensions installed or other changes.

One thing I noticed when I tried the first report of this (above) was that that site had the "Require Profile Data Permissions:" setting set to No, and had integration with a 3rd party profile plugin configured. This means that there are actually 2 trips to Facebook.. one for the required permissions, and a 2nd for the optional permissions.

I'm not sure if you're configured this way, but can you try setting the permissions requirements (in the permission tab of JFBConnect) to all Yes/Required and see if that makes any difference?

Facebook pushed out a Javascript update on their end yesterday which is having a few issues, other than just this. They do this about once ever 4-5 months, and usually fix any issues that arise within 3-4 days. Hopefully, the workaround above.. works.. but it's really just a guess.

If that doesn't make a difference, please post (or private message) me your URL so we can see a few things about how your site is configured.

Thanks!

It seems to be a facebook issue linked to the js sdk.
forum.developers.facebook.net/viewtopic.php?id=98855

It stopped to work on my site too . I checked and this is the same with scribd.com.

The work around they suggest:
I have async loading; and I replace:

e.src = document.location.protocol + '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js';

with:

e.src = 'connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js';

(For anyone not really sure what I'm talking about visit - developers.facebook.com/docs/ref … avascript/ and scroll down to Loading the SDK Asynchronously)

[DISCLAIMER] I did not test it[/DISCLAIMER]

Same for me. JFBConnect does not work, on my sites or on your site, using Firefox AND Chrome. I get the same window as shown above. Looks ;ile Facebook has changed something again.

Please let us know what the fix is as users are unable to log into my site now using JFBConnect. I had to have your system send me my account name here so I could log in manually.

The actual bug report for this issue is:
bugs.developers.facebook.net/show_bug.cgi?id=17436

Yes, this is annoying. However, it's in the "Resolved" state, which means that Facebook has determined the cause and is testing the fix now. Generally, this means the fix should roll out in the next 2-6 hours.. since this affects a huge amount of sites, I'd expect it to move out very fast. Please note, the Javascript API from Facebook is held on many content delivery networks and does get cached in the user's browser, so even when the rollout occurs, the issue may be intermittent for a time.

Unfortunately, there's no solutions we can recommend until Facebook fixes the issue on their end. Hold tight, this should be over soon. Please feel free to keep reports coming if you see changed behavior.

Thanks,
Alex
