It could be, though we test with SEF extensions and haven't seen that issue. If you're using the Content plugin, then yes, all the URLs should be automatically generated for the page the Like button is shown on.

If you're using the JFBCLike module, you should set the href parameter to blank so that the URLs are automatically generated. If you set a value in the href parameter, than any instances of the Like button will use the specified (same) URL.

Let me know if this helps, and if not, we'll do more testing with sh404SEF. Can you tell us what version you're using?

Hmm.. That's very strange. It should work, just as you described, using the module. We've tested this multiple times, but maybe we missed something.

Sorry for the delay. We've done a ton of testing with sh404 v2.2.4.955 and Joomla 1.5.23 (both the latest versions). We can't recreate what's happening at all. Each time, we generate the proper URL and it's used correctly by Facebook.

Can you post the URL to 1 or 2 pages that work and 1 or 2 pages that do not work? Hopefully, we can see what the difference is and fix it from there.

Ahhh. I found the problem. The Open Graph URL tag on other pages is specified as your home page. You shouldn't set this tag as a default (and we need to make it more clear not to do so). When a user Likes a page, Facebook will scan that page for Open Graph information about the page (title, description, image). If there's a Open Graph URL parameter present, it thinks that the page referenced there is the page that should be liked. That's what's causing all sub-pages to like the home page.

Once you fix this, hopefully, all your problems will be fixed.
