this was the problem I had with the invite module was freezing the home page. the website is www.stcredit.com and you can use username: and password: to log in to the site normally, you have to log in with your facebook information in order to see that particular component freeze your browser. I am going to set up a page just for the invite module so it doesnt freeze the rest of the site, i made the menu item registered forcing you to log in with the facebook login module so you can see what is going on, thanks so much hope to clear this up soon for anyone else

That login name isn't working, but I just created my own account. That should do, I'm assuming.

I couldn't find the menu item with the Invite module on it. When you set it up, please let me know and we can test then.

The Invite module is loading fine for me. I've included a picture of it in Chrome, but I also tested it in IE8. What are you seeing, and is there anything else you can tell me about your testing? Can you try a different Facebook account? Different computer? Different browser?

Thanks,

hmm not sure why it is working for you I am using firefox maybe thats why, I will try another account this evening on chrome and on IE8 to see if maybe its just firefox. I did try it on three different computers and all the same freeze. What I am getting is it will stop the browser, then say not responding, then the whole windown will go see threw white then it will start working again. I will keep you posted after I make it home this evening.

Alex how many friends do you have on facebook?? I have over 1000 and i think the number of avatar pics is slowing down the time and freezing the website, also on my fiances computer and her screen name using firefox, it is just sitting in limbo then i have to refresh the page, then it freezes and then everything comes over. it works faster for hers because she only has 200 friends. I am now going to turn off the avatar feature to see if that works, i think you have a radio button for that but the first couple of days i used this program it works fine. If you would like super admin access let me know so i can set you up, just ask for a PM this is confusing me to death

Sorry for the delayed response. We have a few Facebook accounts that range from 50 to about 500 friends. We don't see any loading issue with that amount, but it does look like Facebook tries to load all the user's avatars. I just checked out how big one image is, and it's about 2.5kB. Assuming this is true for all of them, at 1000, that would be about 2.5MBs to download, which could definitely cause bandwidth issues.

However, each of those images are loaded through an iFrame, which means that they should be loaded sequentially and shouldn't prevent the page from continuing to load.

Can you try on our demo site and see if you have the same loading issue? We have invite module with avatars up there, so hopefully that will help narrow down the issue:

Let us know what you come up with, because we don't have many suggestions, unfortunately.

yes it did, sorry if that makes me feel better, but it kinda does. The whole web browser froze then it got a white hazey fog over it then it started working again after a couple of seconds seems yours is a little bit faster than mine but none the less did the same thing. Then i went back to my facebook tab and it logged me out, i never sent anyone an invite, so not sure what is going on here
