I Alex.

I am trying to debug this link on facebook debugger : [deleted]
and fb debugger report: "URL returned a bad HTTP response code". with response code "500".

the link is ok and even is well scrapped on google snippets tools.[edit: google snippet says: "invalid url, page no find"]

another thing is that if user hit "send button" it's say page culd no be found.

also for others links on my site: "likes" only display on the user's wall if they write a comment in the like little comment box. is that new on facebook?

I thing I am missing simething

Thanks in advanced

Manuel,
I think something's wrong with your server configuration. It seems to allow real browsers (and maybe some 'bot' software) on, but a lot of requests seem to be denied. If you try the following link, you'll see various error codes depending on the User Agent selected:
tools.seobook.com/server-header-checker/...nt=1&typeProtocol=11

You'll need to fix whatever on your server is checking the user agent or other information about the request and fix the response it's giving.

The other issues are likely related to the page not being properly 'seen' by Facebook.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex.

Someday ago I have excessive scrawling from bot on my site, and my hosting company set some rules to control them. I contacted my hosting company and they asked if i have the IPs to allow them through the firewall. where can I find the IPs for facebooks and google snippet ?

greetings

Manuel,
As you can imagine, Facebook has hundreds (if not thousands) of IP addresses. I don't know them all and they don't publish them. It also doesn't seem logical to have to whitelist IPs to your website or else you'll be blocking legitimate users or bots as well.

I'd recommend blacklisting the bad IP address only as that's the common practice to prevent bad things from accessing your site.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Manuel,
Glad to hear it. If there's anything we can help with though, or any other feedback or suggestions you have on how we can improve things, let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
