Hey Alex,

Just a quick tip for you....

Since you have more than 25 "Likes" you can have a vanity url.

Your Current URL is www.facebook.com/pages/SourceCoast/141717952527296

To change it to facebook.com/SourceCoast just go to Facebook.com/username and set it. Just be sure to set it for your page and not yourself.

You can also set it by editing your page, then clicking on resources then username.
Cheers,
Rich

PS. When do you anticipate 4.0 coming out?

Thanks for the Vanity URL thing.. yeah, knew we needed to, sadly just hadn't. Done now. Should have before our newsletter :)

We (probably pretty obviously) haven't focused on our FB Page much in the past, but shooting to change that. The newsletter yesterday has gained us over 50 like's in under 24 hours, so we're happy with that.. and excited to help others do the same with the reveal page features of 4.0. Working on documentation for the Page and Canvas integration now to make sure it's as easy as possible (still a little confusing for a few points, we think.. but working on it).

As for 4.0, we'd really love to have a definite answer, but unfortunately had to be vague yesterday. We're really waiting on Facebook to deliver their updated Javascript library which will implement their new OAuth2.0 scheme. We have it implemented on the PHP side in 4.0, but it's a combo of the 2 (PHP+JS) that are required. Originally, the JS library was supposed to be released on July 1st. Then, they pushed it to July 20th (today). No sign yet..

So, right now, 4.0 is mostly ready.. just putting some polish on some things and finalizing testing with Joomla 1.7 (so far, so good.. nothing major). Once the Javascript is released, we figure 1-2 days for implementation. 2-3 days for testing. A few days to let the library stabilize (Let Facebook fix any immediate bugs that are found and make sure those changes don't break JFBConnect). So, our current goal is to have 4.0 out next Thursday.. pending Facebook releasing their library today as scheduled and things going smoothly.

Hope that helps explain, and if you have any other feedback, as always, we'd love to have it!
Alex
