Topic-icon Issues with SCLogin on Joomla 4

1 year 11 months ago #67999 by vanboke
I am working on a Joomla 4 upgrade for a website in a staging area, and have run across an issue with SCLogin.  The odd thing is that I ran into this issue with a different website and found that it was a caching issue.  With this website though it is not a caching issue, as I have no caching on the website enabled at this point and the problem persists.  I am stumped.  Especially since I have SCLogin working fine on other websites.

Before the upgrade SCLogin was working perfectly.  I even ensured that it was on the latest version of SCLogin prior to the upgrade in the staging area.  The website was running Joomla 3.10 and uses the YooTheme Pro template and there were no issues at all with SCLogin prior to the upgrade.  The website passed the Joomla 4 upgrade tests as well.

After the upgrade to Joomla 4 the website itself is working fine.  The only thing that isn't is SCLogin.

What happens is that the moment the page loads, the SCLogin login pop up is displayed on the the page.  The pop up can't be closed as the close button does not work.  The rest of the page, that isn't under the pop up is clickable.  I can scroll up and down the page and the pop up stays in its position in the window.  The login pop up is usable, and will let me log in.  If I click the Login button, the bacground of the page darkens, and suddenly the login pop up is closable.  If I close the box at this point it disapears and the page looks normal.  I can then click the login button to bring it back up and and it is still closable.

If I browse to another page the same thing happens again.  The login pop up appears and won't go away until I click the login button and then press the close button on the pop up.

Has anyone else had this issue?  Does anyone have any ideas what the cause might be, of how to solve this issue?

The website in the staging area is: britishgoods.com/joomla310/
Joomla 4.1.3
SCLogin 9.0.198
PHP 8.0.18

First off, I'm so sorry for the delayed response.

As to your issue, normally when there are 2 'layers' of black backdrop, that's a sign that the JQuery or Bootstrap libraries are being loaded twice on the page. When the popup is displayed, but Bootstrap libraries do the same thing and it has a doubling effect.

I just went to your page though and it seemed like the popup was working properly. If you're still having the issue, let us know and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex
