My setting was set to Yes, but had to turn it off and on again and then I could see the menus as expected.

Thank you for the quick help! current/smile

Hi

I just upgraded to sclogin 7.2.2. I am showing usermenu for logged in users which has items for various acls.
I have set User Groups Having Viewing Access as below
- Administrator, Super Users, Blogger, Ekstep Admins for Blogger acl
- Registered, Manager, Super Users for Registered acl

Till previous version of sclogin, I could see
- public+registered menus for registered user
- public+registered+super user+blogger etc menus for super user

Now I can only see following
- public menus for registered user
- public+super user etc menus for super user

Can you help me understand what am I missing?

Unfortunately I have the setup only on local server.

Hi,

Thank you for reply. But we cant add those links into menu as we wont be then able to check association with logged in user and decide which menu to show, also there could be lot of such links in future which we dont want to create manually. Hence we want to auto create those links for logged in user only and show those in addition to the links fetched from the menu selected in the module..

Hope the requirement is clear.

Hi,

We are displaying Joomla menu in Sclogin module. We want to display few links in the same container of usermenu which will be based on the logged in user. Currenly the usermenu list is being generated from helper.php. So I want to know how can we add few links inside the usermenu container without hacking helper.php

Thanks!

I have a use case where we want to use JFB Connect on a company intranet that uses Google Apps and has 3 domains on which Google addresses are configured. They want to restrict login to specific domain emails.. Is this possible ?

Hello Alex,

It seems we had gone through the same steps you have mentioned. Since a tested tests with multiple accounts from same machine, this could have been caused the mapping issue. As of now this can be marked resolved.

Thanks!

HI Melissa,

I could get it to work.. Thanks! That, along with the query to clear aliases, seems to have resolved the issue.

Hello Melissa,

I added the code and registered using a new email id. But for the user too, profile url contains email elements. Let me know if I can try anything else.

Also let me know is there any way to change the aliases set for the old user, as I assume whatever code changes you suggest now, will apply to  the new registrations only.

Hi,

I have observed this issue couple of times now.. On our site users can login using google and facebook. The issue is observed with 4-5 users who had registered with google account. When they try to login with [email protected] / [email protected] the welcome username/ realname they see in sclogin module is for another user [email protected] / [email protected]

I have read the forums before and have tried any settings / solutions mentioned there without a luck. What I have observed is, this happens when the user account for [email protected] is not present in jfbconnect users list.. I have no clue how the entry gets deleted from jfbconnect users list when it was there and account was working perfectly fine for the user.  Am I missing anything here?

Since we want to use it on a production site, this is security concern.

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

I am using JFBconnect with easysocial as registration component and username is email. Currently if I register as [email protected], my Easysocial profile link is set to mysite.com/profile/id-xyz-gmail-com
Since any user can see this and make out the email address easily, this is a security concern for me. It seems that the Easysocial setting to use username / Real name in profile url isnt applicable when I use ES with Jfbconnect. It seems JFBconnect saves user alias based on it's username setting. PFA.

What can I do to use email as username and use real name in profile url?

Thanks!

Category: JFBConnect

I don't want to use social login buttons, to get logged in.
I already have fetched facebooks access_token using javascript, I want to register that user by passing the same token_id to jfbconnect component through ajax or curl.
Please let me know how to achieve that.

Please reply ASAP

I am using JFBConnect for a intra portal for company. I would prefer to allow only employees to be able to register using their company emails. Is there a way I can do this using latest JFBconnect?

Hello,

We have been using JFBConnect for a while and everything was working fine. Suddenly the FB and Tweeter login has stopped working. We are getting following error when we click on the respective login options from the module.
App Not Set Up: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

As far as I remember, we havent changed any settings recently, hence unable to rectify the issue. Could you please help resolving it asap?

Also tell me whether the ERROR CHECK option in admin component is only available for active subscribers only.

Thanks!
Himangi

Thanks for your reply....

* In the Facebook application, what is the value for 'Category'? You can find this in your app > App Details > Category option.
=> Communication category.

* How have you configured your request in the backend?
=> Just like shown in screeshot
https://www.sourcecoast.com/images/agorapro/attachments/26347/mini_jfb-request.png

* Can you give me a specific URL where you're added the request on the front-end?
=> Demo link
Click on - Invite Friends

Also I see the following warning from the Autotune Error Check for your page. If you have access to the site restricted, it's possible that it could cause Facebook some problems. Could you try enabling access and see if that helps resolve anything?
=> Removed htaccess protection for now. Error check reported no errors after that. Still no luck.

Hi,

I am trying to setup demo for a client using JFBconnect.
- Using JFBC - 6.3.0
- Create FB app today only
- Done Autotune for FB
- Enabled content plugin
- Put request tag in article
- I am getting this error when trying to use FB request- 'Game Requests are only available to games.'

Can somebody help me out setting it up?

Hello,

Here are the some details,
Joomla version 3.3.6
JFBConnect version 6.2.4

Is there any other setting that is missing ?

Thanks

Hello,

I am using JFBConnect with CB on joomla 3.x. All latest versions being used.

The basic requirement is to have FB and Gmail login options along with CB registration and need admin approval for all 3 options.

The login module and CB registration works fine with admin approval. But there are few issues with which I need help.

1. When logged in with FB, getting this message 'You are now being logged in using your Facebook credentials' and it doesnt stop.. It worked fine at one point but then this issue occurred.

2. When try logging in using google, I get the following error.. We had resetup jfbconnect when we first got this error and then it was working fine for a while but then suddenly the error reoccurred.
'400. That’s an error.
Error: redirect_uri_mismatch'

3. Could not implement admin approval for the accounts created using FB / google. Please suggest how to do that. I have already tried documentation and forums and the output was, when clicked on FB / google it took me to CB registration page / when for google account got created and I saw the message 'you can login once the account is approved by admin' etc, the google password didnt work so not sure what is the ideal flow.. That is why I think I am missing something and if someone can guide in setting up admin approval process, it will be very much appreciated.

Thanks!
Himangi
