So on FB connection the first time, visitor sees a message that says: [site] will receive the following info: your public profile, friend list and email address.

Is there any way to amend this, since we don't need "friend list" at all... just the visitor's email address.

It looks like there's no way around that but wanted to confirm there's no solution.

Never mind. I didn't have the required CB field published in profile (which i'm not really using right now); so it didn't show up.

So I can't get required CB profile fields to show after FB authentication. I can get required Joomla profile fields to show. I have the setting in community builder profile Show Profile Fields => Required Only... But they won't show. Any ideas there?

I see this: "If using the user creation mode of Full Joomla User, enable the "Show non-mapped required fields" setting in the Community Builder profile plugin. This will allow the user to fill in this information during registration."

But I don't see where you set the "user creation mode"? so I can enable "Show non-mapped required fields".

found a solution that looks like it's fixing it.

this actually came from Eshelman who's done a great job supporting his fbcomment plugin for this component.

Open the file  /components/com_jfbconnect/helpers/facebookhelper.php

Around lines 26 through 29 you should find this code:

function getXDReceiverLink()

                                                return "index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&view=xdreceiver&format=raw";

Simply add a preceeding “/” to the line that starts with “return” so it looks like this:

function getXDReceiverLink()

                                                return "/index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&view=xdreceiver&format=raw";

I'm not using sh404sef at all. Just the core joomla SEF. I also have the 2.0 stable component.

This is the error i've seen elsewhere in this forum wherein the pop up box doesn't close and a 500 error is returned.

It does work if you connect from the home page of the site. Any other page and you get the error.

Is there a simple fix for this?

So what was the resolution? I'm having the same issue.
