JFB Connect is pulling a og description from somewhere and I can't find it anywhere. I've even put in a custom description tag and it won't update. Joomla meta tags are updated, but JFB Connect is overriding on FB of course. Debug www.christlittlerock.com and the descriptions should all match:
"A community of jesus followers focused on experiencing God's love, connecting our stories to Jesus and each other, and transforming the world. Visit our site to learn more."
JFB is up-to-date, but Joomla is on 3.7.4. It is impossible for me to update to Joomla 3.8 because it ruins the entire site.
Where is this meta og tag coming from??
Hey Thanks Alex. I started to clue in to that Open Graph is the place i needed to be exploring and learning about. Once I learned that I realized that the preview description is determined by article contents. What it actually came down to was hidden text on the article that is assigned to the homepage that still had the demo description from joomla shine.
When I tag www.christlittlerock.com in Facebook a weird description meta tag comes up. If I look at the source code for the final php page I find where it come from "twitter discription" but I have no clue where to change this or how to modify, and get the right stuff coming up. Joomla's meta tags are set to "A community of believers focused on the commission of Jesus Christ, to baptize and make disciples of every nation. All are welcome! Visit our site to learn more." but this isn't what you see.
We've been using Facebooks page plugin (found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/pl … age-plugin) but it doesn't seem to work now that we've started using JFBConnect. Is this to be expected? It looks like the calls to Facebook sdk.js aren't working.
