We seem to have the same issue again.
Is this again because of something at LinkedIn? are they aware ?
it appears to be fixed
hope your are working on a resolution with them!
please provide an update on this issue.
ps ... we have not changed anything either. I renewed my membership to be able to report this and get this resolved
I just noticed the LinkedIn Social share counts have disappeared. Could you let me know how to get them back? PS I also noticed that on Sourcecoast.com they have disapeared
Hi I just wanted to follow up on this and also ask you about this latest release
https://www.sourcecoast.com/index.php?o … amp;id=118 if that perhaps addresses the issues.
Before I introduce new variables I wanted to check in with you first.
Alex thank you for your prompt reply!
I have added so that it now looks like this
public function onAfterInitialise()
//Always load openGraph plugin so that we can listen for Auto-import
$app = JFactory::getApplication();
// Need to disable Page caching so that values fetched from Facebook are not saved for the next user!
// Do this by setting the request type to POST. In the Cache plugin, it's checked for "GET". can't be that.
$option = JRequest::getCmd("option");
$view = JRequest::getCmd("view");
if ($option == 'com_jfbconnect' && $view == 'loginregister')
$_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] = 'POST';
// Need to load our plugin group early to be able to hook into to every step after
$providers = JFBCFactory::getAllProviders();
foreach ($providers as $provider)
It does not change anything though same error.
- I did remove cache / expired cache and browser cache
unpublishing system plugin JFBCSys does let me see the rss feed
I recently re-subscribed and upgraded to the latest v 7.2.0
I also upgraded Joomla from 3.6.5 to 3.7.2
Now my URL for a feed with " ?format=feed&type=rss " breaks with system plugin JFBCSys
If I un-publish this I can see the feed normally if not I get generic error
This site can’t be reached
The webpage at https://www.xotels.com/development/inde … p;type=rss might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
I searched online in some of the support forums and found some Joomla devs discussing this here https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues/11705
hope this link can be of value.
Can you please advice How I should proceed with perhaps a downgrade or a patch of some code.
Regards and thank you for support
Thank You Mellisa for your detailed response!
With your link to the blogpost you showed again that you guys are on-top of all the developments with the part that work together in JFBConnect!
I did however discover a new issue with the release I upgraded to, and wonder if possibly I should or can downgrade to resolve that, But I will open a new thread (instead of Hijacking my own) to keep things organized and useful for others
Hi just upgraded to 7.2.0. does that mean I am covered for Facebooks requirement: -->>"To ensure a smooth transition, please migrate all calls to Graph API v2.4 or higher."
