Login Method: Username or Email address

You can use that option with the SCLogin module. In the SCLogin module, set the "Registration Component" option to CB. When set that way, the SCLogin module will simply pass the credentials provided to CB for authentication. If you have CB configured that way, then it will accept whatever forms of credentials you've enabled.

You should be able to edit the language files for mod_sclogin to update the placeholder text. The key you're looking for is MOD_SCLOGIN_USERNAME
