Joomla 3.3
Site: Trumpetista.com

I can get it to work if I clear the association in the user map then re associate it on the front end. It works for a while then not at all in any browser????

Can you check your User and System plugins to see if you have any that are meant to redirect users on login? There are some plugins specifically meant to put the user in a new place after they register or login, and those could be causing problems.

If that doesn't seem to be the problem, please try:
* Disable SEF URLs both in Joomla or any 3rd party extensions you may have for SEF URLs
* Disable Caching, if enabled
Test after each change to see if the issue goes away and let us know what fixes the problem so we can investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

... don't have any other plugins that redirect...

I also discovered that after logging out, the system still thinks I am logged in. The screen shot attached shows the FB comment section with my name still showing AFTER I have logged out and explicitly refreshed the page.

I'll continue testing as you suggest. What is a SEF URL?

Sorry for the confusing language above. SEF URLs are Search Engine Friendly URLs. So, instead of:
site/reviews
The URL would be be something like:
site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12

I just tried to register on your site, but did not get a redirect loop. I was also able to logout successfully.

Can you:
* Disable Search Engine Friendly URLs in the Joomla Global Configuration area
* Disable Caching in the Joomla Global Configuration area

Test and let me know if that helps. If not, please re-attach the images you uploaded to the post. In the Attachments popup you have to hit the green arrow icon to actually insert what you uploaded into the post.

One thing to note though is that the Facebook Comment box works off of whether you are logged into Facebook.com and does not matter whether you are logged into your website. So, you may still see your Facebook info in the Comments box even when logged out of Joomla.

I hope that helps, but please keep me posted on the redirect loop and if any of the suggestions above helps.

Thanks,
Alex
