Login redirect is not working now that we have upgraded out Joomla site fro 2.5.4 to 3.0x
This is discouraging. I recall having this problem way back in the beginning of Joomla 2.5, now here we are again. =( :(
We now have JomSocial on our site and can't even get redirect to point to the edit your profile or public wall. It just goes back to our home page.
Yes we use url rewrite and SEF urls. I stopped both and saved with no change. Turned them back on and now my urls are different too. :( uggggg

OK so this is Joomla 3.0x just upgraded from 2.5.14. This is prior to us upgrading the site to 3.1.5. Trying to get all errors fixed first :(

I'm not sure what you mean by turning off SEF URLs and then turning them back on changes your URLs. If that's the case, it sounds like there's some underlying issue on your site with URLs.

As for the redirection setting, please test with the standard Joomla Login module and not just the SCLogin module. If you have the same issue with that module, it indicates it's not the SCLogin module at all. I'm not sure how our module would be causing the problem you describe, actually, as we use the standard Joomla login system just loike the normal Joomla login module. However, if the redirect works properly with the Joomla Login module, let us know a page where we can test and we'll gladly investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

I finally got our site completely upgraded to Joomla 3.1.5 and found out errors were being caused by JomSocial. Now all works fine BUT since i was redirecting to their stuff I thought you should know the following direct from the JomSocial site;

JomSocial 3.0 and Joomla 3.1.5 were practically released on a same day, but Joomla 3.1.5 brought some changes in handling the database object crashing our plugins and causing error:

Error: 0 - Property db does not exist

Please, first disable these plugins
1. Latest Photos
2. My Articles
3. My Tagged Videos
4. My Videos

Fixing individual plugins will require opening the following files
ROOT/plugins/community/latestphoto/latestphoto.php
ROOT/plugins/community/myarticles/myarticles.php
ROOT/plugins/community/mytaggedvideos/mytaggedvideos.php
ROOT/plugins/community/myvideos/myvideos.php

At the very beginning of each and every file, there will be line

$this->db = JFactory::getDBO();

Please remove it completely

Thank you!

Weird. Hadn't heard of that issue. I know JomSocial has released a few 3.0.x releases since the initial 3.0.0 version, and I'm assuming those releases fix the issue above as well. It was unfortunate the timing they had with their release.. we've been bitten by that before as well.

Either way, I'm glad to hear you got it going. Should you run into any other issues or have any feedback on our SCLogin module, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for SCLogin, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
