SCLogin and sh404sef was created by rainman
Hi,

I have SCLogin 3.1.1 on Joomla 2.5 and VM 2. Everything works great except when I select Virtuemart as the registration component while using sh404sef. It simply goes to my homepage and not the registration page. It works fine if I change it Joomla or if I disable sh40sef. Please advise.

Thanks!

Not sure why that would be. Can you post a link to a page that has:
a) The SCLogin module enabled with the registration component set to Virtuemart (that doesn't work)
b) Another link that points correctly to Virtuemart's registration page.

That will help us see what's different about the two and determine the best fix.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the delayed response on this. I just checked out your site and do see the Register button redirects to the home page. Looking at our code, when Virtuemart is enabled as the Registration component, we will try to redirect the user to:
index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user
If I enter that URL after your domain directly (not even clicking the Register button), I'm brought to the home page. So, it seems that there's a redirection in sh404SEF which is setup to go to the home page. Can you look at your sh404SEF redirection URLs, search for that string above, and see what it's setup to redirect too... or just force it to redirect the page you want it to go to?

Alternatively, we can help you add an Itemid to the registration URL which should make it work as well.. but that's a change you'd need to make with every update of the SCLogin module, so not an optimal solution.

I hope that helps get you started,
Alex

Thanks Alex,

I added the link to sh404sef and now if I enter the string behind my domain name it goes to the proper URL. However, I can't get the Register button to go there. I cleared the cache and restarted my browsers, but still no luck. Please advise what to do from here.

Thanks!

It's fine now Alex. The redirect worked. Was a cache issue.

Awesome! Glad to hear that got it going for you. Of course, if you run into anything else or have any other feedback or suggestions for our products, just let me know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
