The first thing I'd recommend is upgrading to JFBConnect v6.0 . That release integrates LinkedIn functionality into it so that JLinked is no longer needed. There have also been quite a bit of speed improvements implemented. It also won't require the jlinked.js file you linked to above since JLinked isn't used any more.

Beyond that, if your template is already loading the jQuery *and* bootstrap libraries, you can disable our "Include JQuery/Bootstrap" setting in JFBConnect.

The other things are more difficult to do, and not something we'd recommend for a very, very minor speed improvement (if any). While those are recommendations for things to do, it becomes very hard to move CSS and JS files around on your site in Joomla due to how the template system works.

I'd start with JFBC 6.0 and see how things go from there.

I hope that helps,
Alex

I'm not sure why I didn't mention it above, but please check out our JLinked migration guide . It will walk you through the steps to migrate your JLinked settings, uninstall JLinked and then delete the JLinked database tables as they won't be necessary anymore.

I'm not sure why you aren't getting the new reply notifications. We had a report from one other user of this issue, and are investigating what's happening. There's basically a few users where the notifications aren't working, and we haven't narrowed down the cause yet, but will do what we can to get you going.

Thanks,
Alex
