Hi,

I had to uninstall the component for two main reasons.
1. There is no option to configure it not to load jQuery (I don't know if it also loads Bootstrap).
2. There should be an option not to load Linkedin javascripts. I am also using other extensions that load it and it creates conflict.

The first option is available in JFBConnect and it really helped. Any ideas when you will sync JLinked as well?

Thanks in advance.

JLinked doesn't use jQuery at all, so that's why there's no option. It uses Mootools and will continue to do so until we integrate it's features into JFBConnect.

As for loading the LinkedIn Javascript, that's a requirement for JLinked as the Javascript has to be initialized in a specific way that allows for authentication and some of the other social features we use. If your other modules are just including the in.js file without the proper initialization, that isn't enough to do what JLinked requires. However, the load that JLinked does should work for other extensions.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Any ideas when you will make the integration?
I have major problems with two other extensions. They don't work when JLinked is installed.

The stated roadmap is to have LinkedIn integrated in December with Twitter coming before that in October. Both those times could slip back a month, but it's too early to say. It certainly won't be before then.

We are still supporting and developing JLinked though, so if you're running into issues, let me know what they are. The things you mentioned above don't really seem to be related to JLinked (jQuery) or things we can change (the LinkedIn library). We'll gladly help investigate any issues you're having though.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I am having issues with itprism.com/free-joomla-extensions/socia...ialmedia-multi-share
It's a content plugin that allows you to have social share buttons to all pages, including VM.
When Linkedin is installed, the ITPShare Linkedin button is not displayed.
Test URL: www.allmassage.gr/en/massage/china/head-tuina

Please advice.

JLinked is including the LinkedIn Javascript library and initializing it with an App Id. That's required for many of our features. The module you reference is likely re-including that library and LinkedIn doesn't like that and not showing anything.

You'd need to disable the in.js inclusion in the other module that you're using.

I hope that helps,
Alex

It doesn't have the option.

Then you'd need to look into their code, or contact their developer, to understand how to disable the Javascript inclusion of that file. We don't have an option to disable the LinkedIn Javascript because, if you did that, multiple LinkedIn features that we implement would no longer work, not just the Share button.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your reply.
You do have this option though for JFBConnect and it has helped with a lot of issues.
Maybe it's a good idea to add it to JLinked as well. :)

Hi Alex,

My apologies. There is an option and I switched it off. I have also found the code and commented it out.
However nothing seems to be working. Could you please check it out? URL: www.allmassage.gr/en/massage/china/head-tuina
Thanks in advance.
