Please install the new JomSocial v5.0.1 Social Profiles plugin. That will fix the {actor} tag in the activity stream.

We have downloaded the new version. But we don't find the plugin version you specified in last post,

Sorry, we haven't rebuilt the JLinked install package with the new release yet. However, you can use the Joomla Installer Update Manager to find the update, download it and install it.

I hope that helps, but if you run into other issues, let us know. We can point you to where you can download it as well if necessary.

The SourceCoast library and main component currently can't be updated through the update manager, so I can understand why you're getting some errors. I'm not sure why the JomSocial plugin isn't upgrading that way.

Either way, you can download the file from the link below for your version of Joomla:
www.sourcecoast.com/index.php?option=com_ars&view=release&id=15

Install that like normal and it should get you fixed up.

Hello Alex,

the {actor} tag is still displaying in existing posts. How can we remove it. We have installed the new version of JomSocial Profile that you have suggested. Also we are getting some link below that tag. Its taking to some other site. For better understanding I have given you a user profile page screenshot actor-tag-and-link-still-displays.png. We have provided you with the admin access some days ago.. Can you please login and check it out for that user.

Sorry for the delay. The {actor} tag would have already been stored in the database for previous status imports. To remove that from the status updates, you'll need to run the following query on your database:
UPDATE jos_community_activities SET title = REPLACE(title,'{actor} ','') WHERE app="profile";

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the reply.

We are facing one more problem here. One of our user has registered with the Jlinked. But he has posted that when he logs in he is going to some other users account..But when we checked it we found that person facing the problem is having no account created.. and the person whose profile is getting redirected to, is not at all activated..(ckeck the creenshot-

Also do the activation mails will get sent to the person who registered with JLInked, because most of the accounts registered with JLkinked are not activated
