My"LinkedIn profile box' is appearing at the bottom of articles - make it go away - because I didn't write them!

Ok here's the problem: -
I'm Superadmin on my site, My editor is also Superadmin
We're both on LinkedIn (& are friends)
She & I are also 'friends' on JomSocial on my site

She just posted an article, but MY "LinkedIn profile box' is appearing at the bottom of her articles when published
She's NOT logged in front end - BUT I was ... so it's a bit odd, I'm not quite sure why it is there & what it is supposed to do... If it were HER profile box , as the article author, I'd understand.

Stuart,
In the JLinked Social Configuration area, there is a "Content Plugin - Member" tab. That section lets you display a LinkedIn profile at the bottom of content. Simply set all the "View Settings" to "None" and it won't be displayed anymore.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Ok that worked, thanks ;)

BUT... I'm trying to work out what it's function is, why is it there - because I can't help feel that by turning it off, I'd be missing out on some of the JLinked functionality. You obviously spent time developing this function, so I'd be interested to hear what you had in mind ;)
The only thing I can see it being useful for would be for a blog which is written by a single individual to have their LinkedIn profile on every page (which we're not)

IF it were picking up an article's Author (or Alias) and putting the LinkedIn (or JSocial) profile box (with link) in the article - THAT would be very usefil

Thanks

Stuart,
You're correct in your thinking of the original intent of the option.. to show the 'bio' of the author of the article. You're also correct that right now, there's a simple setting to say who the author is for everything. We have a task in our to-do list to have this automatically show the author of the article, but just haven't implemented it yet. When we originally created that feature (with the original v1.0 release), we had a feeling that request would come up. However, in 5 months, no one asked for it, so it wasn't high on our priority list. Most users seem to be 1-man shops (or at least want all the posts to look like they're from the same person).

I can definitely see this being in the next release, but that won't be out until summer-time.

Hope that helps explain,
Alex
