I have just installed jlinked to my website and now I am having problem with everything that uses JavaScript issues. Text editor not working on the front end of the site. Tabs are not working, some of the buttons on the site are not working. If I disable jlinked everything goes back to normal. This is a J2.5.3 site running a t3 template. Please help with this problem asap...

Rip,
Can you post the URL of the site with the issue? There isn't any known reason what you're saying should happen; that's obviously not expected behavior. We'll need to see the problem in action to understand what's causing it and come up with a solution.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex,

Thank you for the quick reply on this matter. The website to this problem is authorsinfo.com. I had to set the jlinked system plugin to unpublished or the site would have this problem globally and this is a live site. I can give you the access to an admin account on the sit if you would like to recreate this problem or if you have another way we can do that too. If I leave the jlinked system plugin as published the users on the site can not login or logout plus other things goes all crazy...lol

Rip,
I'm not sure what version of JFBConnect you're using since you don't seem to have a subscription. Please make sure you're running the latest version of that as there's always improvements we're making for compatibility between the two.

Beyond that, there's a Javascript inclusion on the page that seems to be trying to compress and minimize your files. However, the link it's generating looks to be bad. I'm seeing the following link, which returns an error when I click it:
authorsinfo.com/index.php?jat3action=gzi...assets%2Fjs_102ed.js

I'd recommend trying to disable whatever minification/optimization is going on and then see if that helps with the System - JLinked plugin. Let us know when that link works, or the minification is disabled, and if the system plugin still doesn't work, we'll probably ask for admin access to look into the issue further.

Thanks,
Alex

I am running the latest JFBConnect 4.1.2 on the site. I got it working by removing the old t3-assets folder from the root directory and the Clean T3 Cache. Now the site works as normal as long as I don't enable the template Css & Javascript Compress feature. I was really looking forward to speeding up the site with this but oh well I can't win them all right?

In the SCLogin module you have a great Facebook Options to change the FB Login Button Size but no option for the Jlinked button which is not fitting on all pages. Would be great to have the 2 button the same size. Here you can see how the linkedin button is too big since it's not the same size as the facebook button: authorsinfo.com/index.php?option=com_com...frontpage&Itemid=632 . It might even be a good thing to have a smaller button that only say facebook login and linkedin login for smaller spaces.

In the SCLogin module Logout View Settings it would be great we had the option to have the users jomsocial picture shown and have it linked to their jomsocial profile.

I'm really loving your work and can't wait for your twitter and google app so I can get the subscriptions.

Thanks for the help and the quick reply.

Glad you're running the latest JFBConnect. If you subscribed to it under another account, just let us know and we can add it to this one. That way, should you need support there, you only need to use one account.

Not sure why the compression stuff isn't working. Sometimes, templates have issues with that. We prefer an extension dedicated to compression/minification called JCH_Optimize. Works well for us. Look it up if still interested in doing that.

As for the SCLogin module:
* Definitely like the idea of changing the LinkedIn button size. Currently, that button is simply drawn to the screen with HTML and CSS, so it should be easy to do. The Facebook button is rendered from Facebook itself, which is why the options are there (they provide those options). I've added a task to try to allow similar sizes for the LinkedIn button.
* Avatar for JomSocial (or CB).. again, like this. It's been suggested before, but simply never did it. I added it as a task though.
I can see both of the above possibly being with the next release of the SCLogin module, which will be for JFBConnect v4.2 in April.

Anyways, glad you're liking our extensions, and thanks for your support. We're hoping to have a Twitter extension out this summer, and then a Google+ one sometime after that!

Thanks,
Alex
