- I have both JFBConnect and JLinked installed
- I alreay have a JFBConnect user
- I am loging in via the new SC Login module.
- The user I am using has the same email address on both FB and LinkedIn
When I press "Login with LinkedIn" I go to the "Thanks for signing in using LinkedIn. Do you already have an account on this site, or would you like to create one?" page.
Since I have allready a registered FB user, I press the "Login with Facebook" button on the left side. This logs me in with FB, but it seems it does not connect both accounts (LinkedIn user map remains empty). I then must press the LinkedIn connect button (on the SC Login module) to add the user to the LinkedIn User Map...
Shouldn't this connection be done immediatly, when I login via FB?
Yes, it should. We definitely have tested that, but will do some more testing. With the "Facebook User Only" setting, and a brand new user for both, if you click the FB button on that page, we've even tested that it will create you a new Joomla user and then link that to both Facebook and LinkedIn. Always possible we missed something though with existing users, or something in general.
One thing I guess to test is the order of your JFBC and JLinked system plugins. Try swapping the order so the 'other' fires first. That may be part of the problem. If so, let me know.. that shouldn't be the case, but I can see it after talking through it.
As for the "Automatically link by email", nope. Unfortunately, it's just not possible. LinkedIn has no method for retrieving the user's email address, so any of the features of JFBConnect that could use that email (like automatic user creation or automatic linking by email) can't be done in JLinked. We'd love it if they exposed the user's email address, but there's no way around it.
