I suspect the answer is yes :-)

If you have a live site (Joomla/Community Builder) is it easy to set it up and test it without going live so to speak ? I supposed I could implement it on a backup offline copy but the two systems could get out of sync.

Thanks

Yes, you should be able to install on a live site without any issues. Once you enable our system plugin, most of our functionality becomes active. However, if you don't enable the SCLogin module (or make it in an obvious place), the standard login functionality won't appear anywhere for someone to use. The same goes for a lot of other features.. you need to make them visible if you want to use them.

Of course, we'd always recommend installing on a dev site first and testing before going straight to a live/real site as you never know what can happen. We'll help with any issues you run into either way though.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for this - I think I may do some implementation and testing on a backup site first. Seems the right way to go...

Testing on a dev site or backup is always what we'd recommend first. There's a lot of features in JFBConnect and shouldn't be many/any bugs, but there can always be conflicts or strangeness that you encounter when mixing with your own template and other extensions.

Either way, we'll be here to help.

Thanks,
Alex
