Facebook didn't remove the ability to post to a user's wall. That's still possible and something that JFBConnect can easily do. What Facebook has done recently is revise their App Policies to state that the user should be aware of any posts being made on their behalf to their Timeline. Many apps, in the past, posted on behalf of the user in promotional ways. If you do that now, your app will likely be marked as spam and (if that happens enough) possibly blocked by Facebook.
If you want to post to the users Timeline, you should use the Open Graph Actions capabilities of JFBConnect. If you want to notify the uper of updates on your site, you should use Request system (part of JFBConnect), which will notify just that user of changes. It won't go to their friends, but that's the point, it will notify the user and not be 'spammy'.
I hope that helps explain, but if you have other questions, just let us know.
Thanks,
Alex
