I would like to know how your component can be used on a site with

Jomsocial
JSTP (joomlaxi.com's)
bit.ly/fzjAwb

I also want to know if this is possible like Usernames should look like First Name+one or two chars from LAST NAME

JFBConnect can definitely be used on a site with JomSocial and JSPT. We currently don't allow you to set the profile type that a user joins automatically, but it will use the default just fine.

As for the Usernames, there are 2 methods for letting users create accounts -
1) JFBConnect generates it automatically. For now, it's only the fb_12345 number you see in your profile. We plan to make this a configurable option in one of the next releases. However, it's a 1-line code change that we can show you how to do if you'd like to manually change it to what you indicate above (very easy).
2) User creates their profile - Here they set their own username and password.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

****Excellent ! I have several profile types and Guest being the Default. Currently when user clicks "Register" link he will be taken to Profile Type Selection page where user can select the profile type suits user's needs. Can i achieve the same with your component?

****Great ! I prefer this method because having user's name as a username is more personable for our community..so i will be fine to change a line of code

1) JSPT: You should be able to redirect to the Profile Type Selection page easily. We have a "Redirect on Login" and "Redirect on Register" setting that you can use for this. We haven't tested specifically with JSPT for this exact case, but if you run into issues, we're pretty quick with our support :)

2) Custom auto-username. The post below is (an old), but still pretty relevant post. If you decide to subscribe, it's a good starting point, but things have changed since that release, so feel free to post a new topic asking how to do it:

That's just good to see that it really is one line of code. I can really see this being a configuration option in the next release... always more to do :)

Good luck, and thanks for your interest.

*** To login first they have to register..correct? when they register they will join the default profile type..so how the redirection is going to help

When you register through JFBConnect, it automatically logs them on. With the new user registration redirection, you can send them to the JSPT page to select their profile type if you'd like it to differ from the default.

No worries about the questions. It's what we're here for. We also have a 30-day money back guarantee, so if you purchase, and decide it won't work for you, no worries.

OK, I purchased it and playing with it on Demo site. Currebtly i can't seem to figure out the way to set the following

1. registration redirection to JSTP/ Profile selction - i set it up but not working for me
(in josmcial configuration "redirect successful logins is set..may be that is the issue. If yes, how to disable the jomsocial redirection after login)

2. need to enable Auto username generation (Firstname_random number, i know how to modify the file but do not know how to eanble it) (and also want to disable login / create account option completely when user clicks JFBC blue button)

4. I am using jomsocial HelloMe Module and would like to continue to use it...just want to add Login with JFBC blue button...how?. other locations i would like to add this Blue Button is - Jomsocial, Joomla Login pages - help needed in editing correct files
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Book. Glad you subscribed. What account did you subscribe under? Normally, you should have a little blue button under your name.

Also, for 'new' questions, it's best to post in the Support area, not the Pre-Sales area.

1) For redirection, JFBConnect has it's own new-user redirection setting. Please use that to send the user where you want them to go.
2) Enable the "Facebook User Only" option under "User Creation" in JFBConnect, and that will enable the automatic user creation, without any Login/Register form
3) You simply need to add { JFBCLogin} to the template files for these modules. If you need help doing this, please create a new thread in the Support area from the account you subscribed with. We can give you all the specifics, but it's dependent on the specific modules you want, so best in its own thread.

Hope this all helps, and good luck!
