Custom integration was created by nomad99
How easy would it be to integrate this with some component that also requires registration? I would like to integrate to create an account both in Jomsocial and some other components when a user registers.

Also, is it compatible with Jomsocial 2.0?

We're currently testing with JomSocial 2.0. We haven't run into any big issues yet, but we're not certifying it for JS 2.0 usage yet. JFBConnect 3.1 (due this month) will have full JS 2.0 compatibility.

As for integration with other components, I'll also point towards 3.1. That version breaks out the integration with other components into a plugin based system. This allows us to add new integrations easier, and without a full release of JFBConnect. It also will make custom integration much easier to do as you (or a developer) can create a plugin to import fields into a different database or component with ease.

Sounds like v3.1 is what I need :) You might also want to add an option for a password along with a username. This way they would have a regular Joomla account along with their facebook account. The reason for this is that sometimes the link with facebook can go down or act up and then the user cannot login into the site. But if they had a credentials as part of a regular account they could.

The ability to create a Joomla account along with the Facebook account has been a part of JFBConnect for over a year. There's an option to create only Facebook users (no Joomla Username/password, so the user always has to log in through Facebook) or to let them set their username/password during registration. We use the Facebook only option on this site, cause we want people to register and get on quickly as possible (less hassle/forms before a purchase). We use the Full User option on our demo site to show how that feature works:

For more information on these 2 settings, check out the "User Creation" settings in the configuration guide:

Oh yeah, what other 'thing' are you trying to integrate with during registration? If it's another Joomla extension, it's always good to know so we can investigate how popular it would be for us to do that integration.

Thanks!
