Can JFB Connect automatically post a notification about a new topic from Kunena 1.6 onto the FB fan page wall?

Nope. We're rejigging our integration with the different systems for the upcoming 3.1 release. Once this is complete, it will be much easier to have 'unique' actions based on the component that's being integrated with.

In general, we're very happy with our overall single-sign on features in 3.0, so the next wave of features will be around tighter integration to and from Facebook.

Hope that all makes sense and answers your questions!

Makes sense, answers (almost) all questions, thankyou!
Is there any reference about your intended timlines somewhere? Are we talking about weeks / months?
My main reason for buying the component is a better population of my users' activity steams and walls - as well as the fanpage, mainly the functionality I described initially.

(Currently I am using JomSocial, Kunena, Easyblog, Eventlist - and other small bits&pieces)

We really don't. We're shooting for 3.1 in early December, but still haven't published all the details of that release yet. We try not to promote what's 'x' months in the future just in case we miss that target (or Facebook removes features we planned on implementing, which has happened in the past).

Hope that's not too inconvenient. We do have rough internal milestones to hit, and we plan on making those more public in the future.. even if it does cause some difficulties, because we understand that helps our users in the long run.

Thanks for your honest and open reply - I appreciate the "energy" here. What I am taking from this is that you are focussing feeding more user generated events to both fanpage and individual user profiles and that "reality" of some of this is more a matter of weeks than months.
=> Happy. ;)

PS: As most users I am pretty happy with "INTENTION" rather than "PROMISE" - so what you described is perfectly enough and I trust that you will focus your resources and capabilities.
=> I will purchase when its time to implement the next step in user authentification and social media marketing on my site www.celestinecommunity.de

I would say it's going to be more in the months category to get where you probably would want things, but hopefully not the 'many' months category :) 3.1 is a step in the right direction, but hopefully a point release or so after that will really get into the oooooh's and ahhhhh's territory for you, and that won't be until the earlier portion of next year.

Of course, that's all in addition to our great authentication integration and social widgets that we already have.. we're confident that whenever you decide to pull the trigger you'll be happy, but certainly don't want to see you buy with expectations that won't be lived up to (yet). As always, if you're on the fence, we have a 30-day money back guarantee. So no worries if you want to play around now, and decide it's not right for your site at this time.

Thanks again for the feedback, and we'd recommend following our twitter feed or blog for future updates!
