Unfortunately, not really. When the site is offline, you will not be able to authenticating to any of the social networks. They need to call back to your site but will be unable to reach it. You can install and configure JFBConnect, but you'll be stuck at testing your setup until the social networks can reach your site.

Hi Melissa,

Can i have www.demo.mysite.com & www.mysite.com as domains wherin the demo one is the test site and if everything runs okay i move to the root site?

secondly for open graph actions ( posting in users timelines) require me to have ssl certificates?

regards

Sunnyside,
In the future, please create a new thread for new topics.

As to your questions, you can easily move from one domain to the other. There are a few ways to do it, but in most cases, you'll have to make some updates to the social network applications that you've created to let them know about the domain change. Some networks support all sub-domains, others don't, so it really depends on what you've configured. Either way, once JFBConnect is setup and working, making those updates during the move isn't overly difficult.

Open Graph Actions does not require an SSL certificate. The only feature that requires an SSL certificate is the Facebook Page Tab and Canvas features.

I hope that helps,
Alex
