Hey guys,

The JFBConnect part does not work at all for the moment. When a new user tries to connect, he gets re-directed to a completely blank page. Could you please help?

I am using joomla 3.3.6 and also Community builder 2. I have found out that it is the automatic user registration that seems to be the main problem.

Thanks,

Tim

Please go to the Joomla -> Global Configuration area and set Error Reporting to "Maximum". The white page should then show the PHP error that's causing problems, which will help us diagnose things.

If that doesn't help, trying disabling any Social Profile or Open Graph plugins you have enabled and test again. If that works, re-enable the plugins one by one to narrow down the culprit and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex,

So... the rest of the advice didnt work either... Can I send you the backend login details and you can have a look for yourself? I would also be fine if the user would be redirected immediatly to the CB login page to have to manually fill out the rest of the CB activation protocol including captcha etc...

I have tried to get it to redirect to the right page, but somehow it does not work. Please tell me where I should send you the details.

Thanks

Tim

Tim,

Please PM Alex or myself with your site credentials and we can take a look. However, since turning on error reporting is not showing any details, without access to the error logs, it may be difficult to diagnose the problem.

Thanks for your patience. The problem looks to be related to the new Community Builder 2.0. We're investigating the cause and hoping to have a resolution over the next day or so for all our users. We'll definitely let you know what we find, and apologize for the inconvenience.

We're developing and testing some new code right now that seems to be working. We may have something available tomorrow that we could install on your site for testing, but we won't be officially releasing it until next week after it's gone through more thorough testing.

Hey alex,
That would be great if you could provide me either with the code or could install it yourself. The launch is planned at 11 am CMT though, meaning for you it will be too early. As long as it does not break the site and that current JFBConnect users are able to login, I do not see why we would not test it on my site.
