Hi Guys,

There are some issues with Jfbc and easysocial.

1- JFBC registration - Generating Random Password

I have reported this issue to Sourcecoast about 4 months ago, They didnt do anything, i think they forget this, any way i sent a reminder to them, Maybe you can contact them for this

www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...known-problem#p42756

2- If "Use Email as Username" option is enabled

After registration via JFBC, system sends a mail with user credientials ; username and password (empty ;) ) But username already disabled. If possible change it to user email or remove when the option (use email as usename) enabled.

3- If we need to use a second profil type

Currently we can use only one profil type when Jfbc registration enabled,

These 3 issues i have found so far. I hope you will find some solutions making a collaboration with Sourcecoast,

Thanks

EasySocial 1.2 changed quite a few things in the underlying core of their product. We've been working to make sure we stayed up with their changes and have been working to improve over integration and other bugs. This is something we're going to be investigating for a fix in the 6.0.4 release of JFBConnect, due out next week. It's something we tried to implement about a month ago, but ran into a few issues.

The 1.2 release of EasySocial seems to have improved some of the systems we hook into though, and we're hopeful that will make fixing this problem easier.

We'll keep you posted on what we find.

Thanks,
Alex

Just wanted to respond to this and let you know the the upcoming 6.0.4 release of JFBConnect should fix the password in the new user registration email problem you reported.

2- If "Use Email as Username" option is enabled

This is the first we've heard of this option and issue. We'll investigate what we can do and if it can be fixed by us in the 6.0.4. release, but it may have to wait until the follow-up release. The password should at least work with these settings, but we'd love your feedback on that.

3- If we need to use a second profil type
Currently we can use only one profil type when Jfbc registration enabled,

Why cant you use 2 (or more) profiles? There's an option in JFBConnect for the Default Profile Type that will be used when a user goes through the automatic registration process. If you are going through the EasySocial registration flow, using a social network to authenticate and pre-populate data, the user should be able to choose their profile type.

You'll need to explain what's not working there a little bit more.

Thanks for your bug fixes. EasySocial's still a pretty new extension, and they are changing their underlying code pretty heavily in between releases, which makes keeping all features working with every release a little more difficult. We've been in touch with Mark quite a bit though and we're working together to make things smoother going forward (including the new JFBConnect integration options within EasySocial itself).
