I went to the link for v 6.0 shown in the Joomla update section but there were no files, only a page with 6.0 stable in the heading, how do I update to v 6.0 of JFBConnect?

You are too slow, actually :) We actually had v6.0 up briefly, but an error was encountered on brand new installs (not updates) and under certain conditions. We unpublished the release, temporarily, while we're building v6.0.1. Sorry for the confusion. The new release should be up in a few hours.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you Alex, I should have known we would never be fast enough to beat the support at SourceCoast, it is always top quality! ;)

It should be up within about 1 hour... not days.

As always, we'll recommend installing on a dev site, having backups, etc. We missed a really stupid bug in the original v6.0.0 release, in all honesty.. it wouldn't have killed sites or anything, but is proof why backups are good. Our support can only be 'after the fact' in most cases, so always take caution.. even if we do a ton of pre-release testing.

Thanks for your patience!

Alright.. it's been reposted. v6.0.1 of JFBConnect and v4.0.1 of the SCLogin module (included in the JFBC package) are now back up.

Everything should go smoothly. We're still working on the documentation for the new Channels feature and other minor things. Just a quick note, if you're currently using JLinked, you'll need to migrate your JLinked settings to JFBConnect .

Please let us know any issues, points of confusion, or general questions you may have about this release.

Thanks,
Alex
