Topic-icon Avatar gone in SCLogin after switching from JomSocial to EasySocial

Hi,

Previously, when using JomSocial, setting the Logout View in SCLogin, "Enable Profile Picture" to "Joomla", avatars would be shown for all users, both FB and Joomla registered users. Now, in EasySocial, it showings no avatar for anyone. Switching to "Social Network" shows the FB avatar, but not that of core Joomla users. I think that's how it's supposed to work.

So I am wondering if the EasySocial plugin is not working for me or if I have missed a setting somewhere?

My EasySocial Profile Integration plugin is shown as installed, published and current.

Thanks for the help

Please download the newest JFBConnect, v5.2.1, posted yesterday. That has an updated SCLogin module which should use the EasySocial avatar and profile links.

Let me know if that helps or not, or if you have any other suggestions for improvements.

Thanks,
Alex

I already did. I put my version info in the description. Sorry, didn't notice until now that it doesn't show up on the post page. I am on v5.2.1 and J 3.1.5.

If I remember correctly when I was testing, the Joomla setting was working for both ES and JS. I uninstalled JS the other day. Maybe that's what is causing the issue. I notice I have "orphaned" the JFBConnect JomSocial profiles plugin. It is unpublished, but I can't uninstall it. I think this might have something to do with having uninstalled JS. I swear the ES avatar was working last week before uninstalling JS.

[EDIT] I notice the date of SCLogin is 8 Novemeber 2013, even though the package was released yesterday. Is that possible? [/EDIT]

Please make sure you setup the "Registration Mode" to 'EasySocial' and have the Avatar set to Joomla. That should be the 2 things required to get it to to show. If that doesn't work though, just let me know, and we can investigate further.

As for the date on the SCLogin module, don't worry about that. It looks like we just didn't update that properly when we updated the version number.

Thanks,
Alex

That was it. The registration component. I still had it set to JomSocial. I was double-checking in the component parameters, not the module itself.

Thanks!

Awesome! Glad that got it going for you. As always, if you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for SCLogin, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
