Hello,

This isnt the first time I have used JFBConnect, and the other times that I have used it, I didnt have any issues.

This time however, i keep getting this error code during autotune:

"Facebook API Error: (#100) canvas_url URL is not properly formatted"

I am so utterly confused as to what the issue is.

All plugins are enabled and I am using the latest v5.2.0 JFBConnect

I can send logins if required

Can you tell me when you're getting that message? Is that during login, autotune, clicking a like button or some other place? Once we know when you're seeing the message and how it's appearing, we should be able to help narrow things down further.

From the message, and guessing that you're seeing it while running Autotune, my only guess is to check the Canvas tab and make sure the Canvas URL and Secure Canvas URL are 'real' website addresses, like "yoursite.com/" and "yoursite.com/". Again though, that's a guess.

Thanks,
Alex

this is during 'autotune'

Yes the address's are real....Autotune gets it from Facebook, and the site is a LIVE website.

This is the reason why i simply dont understand it, as the error message says its the URL, but the url is correct and LIVE.

This is the site: www.wandascloset.com.au

We've narrowed down the issue. Unfortunately, it's a change on Facebook's part that isn't allowing the saving of data for some types. We're planning an updated release, due out tomorrow, that will properly allow the saving.

I apologize for the inconvenience,
Alex

Oh.. one thing you can do, for now, if you want to make changes is:
* Change whatever settings you want to change
* Update your namespace value by adding 'aaa' (or something else to make it different)
* Click "Save"
All your settings, including the new namespace will be saved.
* Revert your namespace value back to the original (removing the 'aaa')
* Click save again.

That will properly allow you to save most settings. However, there are other things they changed on how URLs must be saved, so other errors may popup... all of them should be fixed with the v5.2.1 release, just so you know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
I have the same error.

Facebook API Fehler:(#100) canvas_url URL is not properly formatted

On Auto Tune. I have installed the latest version. What to do?!

Facebook recently changed their API for configuring Applications remotely. To properly use the Autotune service to save all of your settings, you'll need to upgrade to JFBConnect v5.2.1 which supports the changes from Facebook.

I hope that helps explain, but if not, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

One last thing.. when you are on v5.2.1, please hit the "Refresh" button in the top menu bar of Autotune when in the FB App section. That will refetch your App settings and you should be able to save properly then.

Thanks,
Alex
