I have installed the latest version of FBConnect for Joomla 3.X

When I click Login on my login position I do get the login screen with the Facebook button, but if I click that button, nothing happens.

Can you please assist me?

Pete,
It's likely the Spearhead Facebook Like module you're using. It's re-including the Facebook Javascript library in a way that conflicts with JFBConnect. If that module has a setting to not include the Facebook Javascript library, use it. Otherwise (or even better), I'd recommend switching to use the JFBCLike module.

Yes, this was the problem. Thank you.

Can you possibly give me some assistance to use JFBConnect to place Like buttons on my site in place of the other extensions? I have looked at the options to set this up and I am not quite sure how it works.

Actually, I found where you enable the facebook Likes for each article. How to I add the Like button to the main page like I had before. I'd like the ability for facebook users to like the entire site (or the main page).

You can either use the JFBCLike module as a replacement for the other module or, if that Like button was coded into your template or a Custom HTML module, the {JFBCLike} tag.

If you need more information about how to configure either of those, just let me know. The JFBCLike module (installed with JFBConnect) is what you're looking for, I think, though.

Thank you Alex!! The JFBCLike works great!

One more question. Can you tell me what CSS file controls margins and/or padding of the button? The Spearhead facebook module had a setting that allowed me to adjust the position of the button using margins. Is that something I might be able to do in a CSS file with JFBConnect or JFBCLike?

The JFBCLike module has a class of "jfbclike" on it which you can use to add your own custom styles, like:
.jfbclike {margin-top: 10px; padding-left: 10px}

We're also working on improving the configuration options of a lot of the modules to make it easier to switch the looks using settings instead of having to customize things on your own in the stylesheets.

The only class I found is in the jfbconnect.css file.
.jfbclike iframe, .jfbcsend iframe

I added the styles like you have shown and uploaded the jfbconnect.css file.

Unfortunately it did not have any affect on the margin or padding of the facebook button.

Did I put this in the correct place?

The browser cache needed to be cleared and updated. The class is working just fine now.
