I am running version 5.0.2 of JFBConnect and version 5.0.1 of the four plugins: Authentication - JFBConnect Facebook, Content - JFBCContent, System - JFBCSystem and User - JFBConnect Facebook.
I also have installed version 2.1.0 of JLinked, Authentication - JLinked and User - JLinked User as well as version 2.0.0 of Content - JLinkedContent and System - JLinked System.
I also have SCLogin version 3.0.3.

I want to upgrade JFBConnect and am wondering if I should just uninstall JFBConnect and install fresh or do a manual upgrade by installing on top of the excisting JFBConnect.

I am also wondering if I should keep both JLinked and SClogin installed or whether they will install with the new JFBConnect installer: com_jfbconnect_j3.0_v5.1.1.zip

What is the cleanest way to go? I am assuming, as I write this that I should just install the new on top of the old?

Thanks,

JFBConnect has a new installer with v5.1 and it will install all of the plugins and modules you need and should upgrade everything much easier than in the past.

It will also update the SCLogin module with the latest that is compatible with the new v5.1 release of JFBConnect and the last few releases of JLinked.

JLinked has also been updated to enhance compatiblity with the new v5.1 release and you should update that as well, but it's not critical. That, also, can just be installed using the Joomla installation manager and will automatically upgrade JLinked for you.

I hope that explains, but if you need anything else, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
