Hi Alex,

I have created my opengraph objects and actions and everything functions and posts to facebook timeline successfully (pre-app submission to fb).

However in order to achieve this, I had to create an Object using K2-Item for each category I want the action to happen on.

What I would like to achieve is create one object for the parent category and then have all sub-category items underneath it to have the action useable.

Currently Object>K2>Item only works for items immediately in that category rather than child sub-cats.

Is there a way to change that?

Thanks,
p.

Paul,
We'll have to do some testing with this. The K2 Open Graph plugin should work on the category you select and any of it's sub-categories. It was designed so that you could set a top-level object and then even define a new object for a specific child category. That way, you have a lot of flexibility for a 'default' type of object but can still set objects for a specific subset of categories.

Can you test some more and check to make sure it's not working how you expect? Specifically, there may be an issue with Open Graph Actions not working on the sub-categories, but the tags *should* be set correctly. I hope that makes sense.

We will look into this further, but it may take a day or so to get a response to you.. any info you can provide from the above would definitely speed things along.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

No worries or rush on this, its just a general time saving ambition.

I did test a bit further by trying to create an k2-item based, or k2-category based set of objects on the parent category. none of them worked, or produced any kind of action.

cheers,
