Using rockettheme - Chapelco template with the latest version of Gantry.

I published the JFBCFan module (referencing our fb page: www.facebook.com/bayleafmarket) in module position utility-a and it's not displaying.,

All of the jfbc plugins are published.

Suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

Can you double-check that you've set the full URL for your page in the Fan module parameters? The most common reason for nothing to display is that the URL is missing, incorrect, or incomplete (missing the www.facebook.com/ part).

If that's not it, try switching (temporarily) to a default Joomla template and see if that works.

If none of that helps, post (or private message) a URL where we can see the page at.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

I switched to the Beez3 template and assigned the test modules to position-8 with no effect.

I also created a Custom-HTML module and added some test + {JFBCFan} to it and it displays the text but not the plugin.

I also disabled SEF in the Global configuration AND my Mijo SEF extension with no effect.

PM'ing the admin information.

Thanks,

-jay

Jay,
For the JFBCFan tag, you must specify the Facebook Page that you want to display. Otherwise, JFBConnect won't know what Page you want information to show from. The tag should look like below:
{JFBCFan href=http://www.facebook.com/bayleafmarket}
There's a lot more configuration options that can be specified, like below, but the href is required.
[code]{JFBCFan height=200 width=200 colorscheme=light href=http://www.facebook.com/bayleafmarket show_faces=true stream=false header=true border_color=blue force_wall=false}

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hey Alex,

Thanks for the information on the {jfbcfan} tag however the real problem is with the "JFBCFan module" not displaying.

I was just trying to test the {jfbcfan} content to determine if the tags were be processed.

I PM'd you the site information including the URL, logins and ftp.

Let me know if there is something else I should try.

Many Thanks,

-jay

Jay,
Thanks for the explanation. I just went into the admin area. The JFBCFan module was set to "Display on no menu items" in the Menu Item configuration area. I changed that to "Display on all pages" and the module started working. I also updated your Custom HTML module and inserted the href and that's working as well.

The module could use some configuration to adjust the height and things, but hopefully that gets you going.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Jay,
No worries. Support is what we're here for, and I'm glad we could help. Honestly, we like the 'easier' issues.. much better than the more difficult ones :)

Should you need anything else, just let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Best of luck,
Alex
