I have properly installed a evSSL and confirmed that it is working properly, but the green lock does not appear in the address bar. Apparently it is a property of SSL certificates that if their any objects that originated from another webpage, it would break the secure seal. This must be a common issue for anyone who uses facebook connect with an ssl, but I can not find a solution. Is their a solution? or am I left with the choice of using a FB login, like buttons, share buttons etc. or having my site appear secure?

What browser are you using? I just tested in Chrome, and the green bar works just fine.

As for evSSL, there is no requirement that I'm aware of that scripts from other domains can't load. That would break evSSL on almost every page out there due to Google Analytics, Facebook, and tons of other features like you suggest. I just tried a selection of big domains as well and they all include other content while still keeping the evSSL breen bar, like www.godaddy.com/
