Topic-icon SCLogin is not adopting CSS of my template automatically

I use Joomla 3.0.3 and have just installed JFBConnec 5.0. The first thing I installed is the SCLogin module (position: menu). Look for ログイン on oshow.com

I am wondering why the SCLogin is not adopting the CSS settings of my Joomla template automatically. Why is this happening and what kind of CSS do I need to add to make it look the same as the Joomla Login module displayed at the moment next to it.

Also, the Login fields (ID & PW) are wider than my drop down menu. Where and how can I fix this?
Detailed instructions would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Our SCLogin module uses the same styles as the standard Joomla mod_login module. I'm not sure what Login module you're using in the other position, but it's not using the same styles as the standard mod_login module. So, you'd need to implement the styles you want in our SCLogin module. To add to our CSS, you'd need to modify the following file:
oshow.com/modules/mod_sclogin/css/mod_sclogin.css

Alternatively, you can edit the template file of the login module you're using that you like. In the file, simply add {JFBCLogin} where you want the "Login with Facebook" button to appear. That way, you don't need to make a lot of CSS changes, you just update the module you like and add the button where you want it.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,

If I add {JFBCLogin} to my Login Menu, for some reason the "f" logo disappears (in Safari on my Mac)...

Also, probably unrelated to this, when I try to login, it sends me to an error page due to "too many redirects trying to open ..."
I have attached a screen shot of the error page.

At last, I have problems, where when accessing my site, it automatically redirects me to some URL trying to log me in, but ends up giving the same type of error page. If I turn off "Auto Login Facebook Users" it does not happen, but I would like to turn it on if possible.

What can I do?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

Also, if I use {JFBCLogin} to add it to my existing Joomla Login menu, how can I add the Facebook profile picture and the text where it says that "xxx is using MY SITE ..." in the menu as it is done for SCLogin?

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay. I did look into some of your questions yesterday, but didn't have any great answers then.

I just tried to load your site and I got a 500 error message with the text:

SQL=INSERT INTO oshowj1_banner_tracks (`count`,`track_type`,`banner_id`,`track_date`) VALUES (1, 1, 10, '2013-04-03 14')

Not sure what's happening there, but it didn't happen again when I reloaded. Just thought I'd let you know.

For the 'f' missing, I'm not seeing that in Chrome or Safari on a Mac. Can you explain more of what you're seeing:
File Attachment:

I am seeing the redirect issue when I try to login. Can you tell me what SEF extension you're using? If it's not the built-in Joomla SEF, can you go into it's settings and set it to 'skip' JFBConnect. It's different how to do that in each extension, but hopefully that helps.

If you're using Joomla's SEF, can you try to disable it temporarily?

One final thing to test is going into Global Configuration of Joomla and turning 'off' GZip Compression and set Error Reporting to 'maximum'. That will hopefully provide a better error message which will help us diagnose things.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for your reply.

I use MijoSEF, which I had to install in order to make SEF work with MijoShop. Mijosoft and I could not find a way without it...
One can download it for free from mijosoft.com/
I am not sure how I can set it to 'skip' JFBConnect. Can I email or PM you a login or something?

Yes, please PM me a login. You can do so by clicking the arrow under my name (<----) and hitting the email icon.

Thanks,

Thanks for the admin credentials for your site. I just got in to look around. I've never used MijoSEF before, and couldn't find anywhere to configure it. All I could see was the MijoSEF system plugin. Is there any configuration area for it?

To speed up the debug process, I'd recommend disabling MijoSEF and then re-test JFBConnect to see if it works when MijoSEF is disabled. If so, that means we need to figure out how to make it 'skip' JFBConnect, like I recommended above. If that doesn't work, then we don't need to worry about how to configure it.

If JFBConnect does work, you may need to contact the Mijo developers to see if they can recommend how to stop their SEF rewriting from working on the JFBConnect URLs.

Hope that helps make some progress.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for looking into this.

MijoSEF's configuration area is under Joomla's Components menu, but I have just disabled MijoSEF for the meantime. Mijosoft is looking into the issue and will hopefully come up with a solution. Otherwise, I can't use MijoShop with SEF and JFBConnect at the same time...

I will let you know if they were able to figure it out.
Thank you in the meantime.
