How does JFBC determine what EasySocial Fields to show for Mapping purposes within "Social Network Profile Configuration? Looks like this is done via the Social Profiles - EasySocial plugin but how does JFBC determine what fields are available?

I have an "Address" Field in EasySocial that I would like to map "Current Location" from Facebook registrations to, but I cannot discern how to show this field in JFBC Profile Import Config to set the mapping.

Some of our EasySocial Fields appear here, some do not. Just need to know what setting on the Field in EasySocial is necessary for JFBC to show it for mapping purposes.

Thanks!!!

My guess is that the type of field for your 'Current Location' is not one of the ones that we currently support. Fields of the following EasySocial types are able to be imported into the 'Social Profiles - EasySocial' section: birthday, datetime, email, gender, textarea, textbox and url.

Could you try creating a new textbox field for Location or changing the existing Location field to that type to see if it shows up in the available list and imports? If it already is one of these types and still not showing up in the list, please let me know.

Thx, Melissa - I understand what you are saying here. I think I was confusing myself thinking that JFBC mapped, e.g., user_location scope data from FB authentication to an EasySocial Address Field as part of the the JFBC-EasySocial native integration - i took a look back at some old documentation I had on these field mappings and you are correct as you describe above ;)

Facebook has changed over time how they've supported the location fields, so I'm not surprised if there's confusion. It sounds as if you have wrapped your head around this, so let us know if you need any more help with mapping the profile import data correctly.
